Robinson Crusoe

once I finished  four chappters from  MaCcndless'story ,I remember a story that I read last year it talk about
Robinson Crusoe,  who born in York, is the third son in his family. His parents wish to make a lawyer out of young Crusoe, but Crusoe has other plans. His one great desire is to become a sailor and go to sea. The first foreshadows what lies ahead for the hero. Although his father refuses to give him permission to go to sea, Crusoe runs away to become a sailor. Although almost all of his initial forays into sea life are disastrous, Crusoe is not deterred. During one of his trips, the Moors capture his ship, and Crusoe is taken as a slave. He finally escapes in a boat with another young man. After some interesting adventures, he is rescued by a Portuguese ship. He next lands in Brazil, where his enterprising ways help him to succeed; he becomes a planter and prospers in a few years time. Still not satisfied with his success, he decides to become a slave trader in order to get cheap labor for his plantation. As he travels by boat to find slaves, a storm hits, and his ship is wrecked. All the sailors are drowned except for Crusoe, who is washed ashore on an uninhabited island.

Dear reader, you may ask yourself why I wrote about Robinson Crusoe and what is the relationship between him and maccndless , the story simply remind me of the story I am reading these days (into the wild)I noticed some similarities and differences between the two young men .in terms of similarity both ignored their parent’s desires and wished for trying a new world leaving their beautiful and peaceful life .they both trusted the nature and chose to live in its scary isolation .concerning the differences ,Crusoe paid attention to the preparations he should do before his journey like food and weapons .on the other hand ,maCcendless did not care about preparations . for that ,I strongly believe he intended to live a new life away from materials.fortunatly,Crusoe could live after struggling lasted for 28 years not like MaCcndless who was unlucky to win the same chance .

I enjoyed reading Robinson Crusoe much more than reading Into the wild. However, I don't why I respect Chris and I was really touched by his real story maybe because I feel so sorry for him and his parents :(
